Welcome from President Geoff Brentnall: Welcome members, guests and visiting Rotarian Tom Boyle (Rotary Club of Traralgon)
Guests tonight are Jack Madin (Outgoing Rotary Youth Exchange candidate) and his brother Henry and father Jon.
A Club Assembly questionnaire has been distributed tonight in preparation for the meeting on April 20. Please return these as soon as possible.

Reports:

Tony Haines, Secretary – The Australian Rotary Health Research Fund conducts seminars in each region each year. This seminar (Werribee, Sunday April 18, 9.30 – 12.30) presents a practical insight into ARHRF programs through the eyes of committee professionals, researchers and community leaders. The objective is to encourage Rotary clubs to become actively involved in these programs. Speakers include: Professor David Castle (Mental Health), Les Twentyman Depression in youth), Dr. Jane Purkis (suicide), Kerry Boehm (Indigenous Health).

Tim Kemp, Club Service – A list is being circulated to place an order for a new Rotary shirt. Perpetual calendars are available for $10 each. Plans for the proposed rotunda development are available for members to examine.

Rotary caps are available for $13 each.

Helen Trigg – RAWCS badges are for sale $2.00 each.

Mark Donohue, Market – This final market promises to be a big one with 119 stallholders booked in. Please check the roster published in this bulletin and be sure to attend on time to help out with activities.

Frank Mountford – Frank has received an email from fellow Rotarian from Salzgitter-Wolfenbüttel, Dr. Heinz Tonn. Heinz was in Melbourne in February, however time did not permit him to meet with Frank.

April 27th - Brian Ulmer, President Surf Lifesaving Victoria and special guest, Alistair Cook, Australian Lifesaver of the Year.

April 25th (Sunday, Anzac Day) Dawn RSL Service BBQ – On Anzac Day we will be cooking breakfast at the cenotaph. Please come and help out at 6.15am.

May 5th (Wednesday) Combined meeting with Rotary Club of Drysdale.

Guests Jon, Henry and Jack Madin entertained the club with classical guitar, marimbas, concert xylophone, squeezebox and piano accordion. Jack is the outgoing Rotary Youth Exchange Student candidate and played an excellent rendition of Classical Gas. Jack is taught by the renowned Harry Schuster in Geelong and practices up to 2 hours each day. He would enjoy going to Sweden or Scandinavia. Jon’s Marimba Music Company has taken him to 8 countries, conducting interactive music sessions and building Marimbas.
