Reports:
Mark Donohue, Market – With 120 stallholders this was the best market in 7 years. The weather was sunny and visitors stayed for longer than usual. The raffle raised a record $440 and has raised nett $1600 this season. 90 cents in every dollar raised has gone to the club. Mark expressd thanks to Tony Haines, Rod Bush, Rod Birrell, Col Brown, Alison George, Christie Abrahams. Martin Geerings, James Turnbull, John Webb and to all members for their contribution to this worthy fundraiser over the season. There will be a meeting to analyse the market and future strategies in the coming weeks. Mark announced his resignation from the club.
Rod Stewart, Seafood Festival – The Seafood Festival provided an excellent opportunity for fellowship and service with four members setting up on Thursday and a good (albeit smelly) trout stall on Friday. Alan Joyce – Ticket sales at the Drysdale station were very popular and there was much to be done. The event is worthy of a greater effort from the club in future. Geoff Chandler – Some 30 members were involved in service activity over the Easter weekend, which is a commendable effort. Rtn John Cheeseman (Warragul) – attended both events and commended the club for the work carried out. Bill Steains - $ 2, 106.10 raised at the Hole-in-one competition. Peter Molloy – Cottage by the Sea raised $23,000. Peter Cullen – Bellarine Football League and Ocean Grove Fire Brigade raised 12,000.
Tim Kemp, Club Service – Last orders for a new Rotary shirts. Perpetual calendars are available for $10 each.
Rotary caps are available for $13 each.
