Ocean Grove Football and Netball Club receive a PAD from Ocean Grove Rotary club. Club president, Richard Grimmett presented Football Club president Michael Vines with the new defibrillator at the club's jumper presentation night on Thursday. Fortuitously branded in the club colours, the public access defibrillator will be in place for the beginning of the season.
Public Access Defibrillators are life saving devices designed to be used by untrained people assisting with first aid in the critical first minutes of a sudden cardiac arrest. For every minute without defibrillaton, the chance of survival decreases by 10%.
