In news just to hand Wall Kelly reports that a Public Access Defibrillator has been installed at the APCO Service Station in Barwon Heads.
This is the first PAD for Barwon Heads, after a successful campaign to install the units at prominent public locations in Ocean Grove.
These life saving devices are for first aid use in the case of a person collapsing and becoming unconscious. In the precious minutes before an ambulance arrives the device can analise the need for a shock, for CPR, or for no action at all! All this is done by automatic voice prompts!
