VOL 28 NO. 33

14th February, 2011
Apology
For the first time in six years, this bulletin is submitted for publishing before the meeting instead of after. I
am flying out to Tasmania this morning on business, and it is too short notice to arrange a deputy, and I also need to apologise for not reporting tonight's guest speaker. I am sure you will all survive.

Notice for the meeting on 22nd February at the DIK HQ in North Geelong, sharp at 6.00, and afterwards at the Kahn Curry Hut, [Indian Restaurant] , 103 Ryrie St. Geelong, [between Gheringhap and Moorabool Sts.], no later that 7.00 for dinner.
Chairman  Geoffrey Brentnall     Other duties      Arranged on site if necessary
This is not a partners' function, but partners may come, provided they are registered on the mobile phone no. Absenteeism must be apologised for in the usual manner..
If you have stuff to deliver to DIKHQ, this is your chance.
Birthdays     25th    Shirley Dodgshun      28th       John Paton

Business     A club Assembly     Chairman    President Noel
Assistant Cashier & Thanker     Geoff Chandler     Greeter & Assistant Sergeant   Margaret Campbell

What is a calorie?
Calories are the little bastards that get into your wardrobe at night and sew your clothes tighter.
That piece of wisdom was submitted to me by a lady who volunteered that her closet is infested with the little shits.
No apology is tendered for the language used, which was not only verbatim, but vehement! [Name & address
withheld]

In a fashion, this is a timely experiment
In the last few months, I have been told by both experienced and inexperienced Rotarians, that all we need in a bulletin, is a notice of forthcoming programmes and associated duty rosters. So, here you have it, together with a minimum of 'padding'. Your reaction to this would be useful to Margaret Campbell, because the bulletin written by me on 30th June will be my last.
