Guest Speakers:
Ruth van Ecklen. "Aussie Home Loans."
Ruth, who has a business background in finance, was encouraged by her husband to take up the franchise business of Aussie Home Loans. The business occupies a new office in the main street of Ocean Grove. Three brokers and one administration officer are employed. Ruth highlighted her work of Mortgage Broking with a short video. She is not a financial advisor and most of her business is in Home Loans. At present commercial business loans are referred. Interestingly many loans are re financed within 4/5 years.
Craig Humphries. "Bakers Delight."
This business is the largest Australian franchise employer with seventeen ownerships in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The USA is next on the list! Craig has worked with the group since 1986, with 21 years in Ocean Grove. There has been rapid expansion since then throughout the country. Choosing the correct person for the job and ensuring fun and a positive attitude is vital and probably the reason for the very low turnover in personnel. There has been a change in the product with people becoming more health conscious. The aim of the business is to produce the same standard of product nation wide using standard recipes. His business currently forms partnerships with the football club and other charities as a means of sponsorship. He has the franchise for the next ten years. He truly enjoys what he does and is happy to go to work every day.
Please note it is essential that apologies be recorded by 12noon on Mondays. Also the Club has to pay for members who have not apologized and not turned up! Phone number is 0457 315 900. Thank You.
A Reminder… I would be very grateful if a hard copy of reports could be given to me at the meeting… My task would be made easier!
