Presentation of Small Business Excellence and Apprentice of the Year Awards.

The Small Business Excellence Award was presented to Mudge’s Shoeland.
Terry Mudge accepted the award on behalf of his family, which has been established in Ocean Grove for 22years. The business has expanded to Colac and to a shop in Packington Street. The business has survived the intrusion of big business and on accepting the award Terry thanked those members and the local community who have supported Mudge’s enabling the family to continue in Ocean Grove.

The Apprentice of the Year nomination supported by Ty Symons from the Ocean Grove Business Association was presented to Michael Beshara from Christian Brothers Buslines. Michael has been accepted for an adult apprenticeship which involves three years theory one day per week over three tears and a fourth year in practice at Christian Brothers Buslines. Angus Christian praised Michael for his attitude to work as a mechanic which he obviously enjoys as he is well thought of by his work mates.

Thank you,

AG.
