This year we are staging the eighth Annual Art Show at the Point Lonsdale Primary School Hall. The beneficiaries this year will be Riding Develops Abilities and Surfing for the Disabled. The Committee works throughout the year to ensure all is in place to conduct a successful event. Ongoing sponsorship for the major prizes generally head the activities and where possible all members are encouraged to support these very generous people and organizations. There has been more than $80,000.00 donated since the show commenced. The Show is firmly established on the Art Show Calendar and participates in the Bellarine Art Trail held over the same weekend.
To encourage interest and to have some fun a 25 Question Quiz was held. A series of generally well-known paintings and artists were shown and cheating in any form was carefully monitored netting some fine money for the club. One table managed to ‘guess’ 18 correct answers! And appropriate wings were distributed. It was interesting to note the healthy amount of knowledge many members have about the subject.
APOLOGIES ARE NECESSARY! IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND A MEETING THOSE WHO DO NOT CONFORM WILL BE SENT A BILL, AS THE CLUB HAS TO PAY IF NO APOLOGY IS REGISTERED
Thank you: A George
