Please remember the Weed Pull on 28 and 29th August behind the Surf Beach around the fire track area. A chessboard would be set up at each club, with one move made each week. The move is recorded and communicated to the other club via an online competition. A ‘Chess Captain’ is required and the move would be discussed and made before 6.20pm. Further consideration required over coming weeks.

Peter Molloy: The Rotary Club of Ballarat will run the Car Raffle again and we will be able to sell tickets. This is a good fundraiser for our club.
Guest Speaker, Noel Reed: Noel has had a number of working trips to PNG and Samoa with Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS). He has recently returned from the island of Yanutha in Fiji where he worked with two others, and apprentice from The Gordon and a labourer, to install gutters and water tanks to about 40 houses. The island of Yanutha is about 15 klm off the coast and is about one square kilometer in size. It has one village with a population of 350 people.
