Welcome and introduction of visiting Rotarians and guests, President TAG Kemp.
Special presentation to Wilma Bath. President Kemp made a special presentation to Wilma Bath of a certificate acknowledging the outstanding contribution that Graham has made to the club. DG Cathy Roth also presented Wilma with a certificate acknowledging Graham’s significant contribution to the District, particularly through his efforts in establishing the PROBUS clubs in the region.
Happy Birthday Signe! The club presented Signe with an 18th Birthday card and cake and wished her the very best on this special occasion.

Community Service, John Wynn: Bluff Walking Track - Because of the unfinished Football Club Pavilion, Barwon Coast has indicated that the weekend working bee will now be held mid to late May.(21/28th.)Dawn Service Catering - John Calnin thanked those who assisted and advised that the numbers catered for increased so dramatically that additional supplies had to be obtained.
International Service, Margaret Campbell: We have registered our new Twin Club arrangement with rotary International. We have twined with the Rotary club of Southampton, Ontario, Canada.
CPR NIGHT: The Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and E.A.R night will go ahead. This will be held on 25th May 7.00pm at the Ocean Grove Tennis Club Rooms. Kim Eden from National First Aid will run the course. There is still room for registrations – contact Wal Kelly.
Presentation by Signe – Signe gave a very nice report on her experience in Australia with particular reference to the friendships and relationships that she has developed with host families, school friends, fellow exchange students and Rotarians. She also took the opportunity to fine some members!
Upcoming Debate: A club debate will take place on May 10, 2005. The topic of the debate is as follows:
“The amalgamation of local councils to form the council of the City of Greater Geelong has resulted in improved services to Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads.”
Vocational Service members will speak for the affirmative, while Community Service members will speak for the negative.
