Public Access Defirillators are life saving devices which can analyse the condition of a non-responsive patient and deliver a ‘shock’ if required, advise the need for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or monitor the patient in the critical minutes it can take for an ambulance to arrive.
Club President Helen Trigg launched the project along with Ralf Harries (Rural Ambulance Service Senior Operations Officer, Geelong) and Christina Sitcheff from Laerdal, distributors of the PAD in Australia.
Helen thanked the sponsors, and club member Wal Kelly for his efforts in driving the project.
