The Rotary Club of Ocean Grove is again issuing an invitation to
employers in the Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads areas to nominate
someone in the “Pride of Workmanship” Award Scheme sponsored by the Club.
This award program has been already operational in Rotary Clubs of
Australasia and overseas.
The Rotary Club of Ocean Grove believes “Pride of Workmanship” –
the sense of responsibility to do a job well, with a sense of pride
and consideration for others, is a highly valued asset in our community.
The award is designed to acknowledge an employee, irrespective of age or vocation, who, in the eyes of his/her employer, displays outstanding qualities in terms of approach, attitude, dedication and
commitment to his/her job.
The award is intended to cover all aspects of work performance and
ethics, inclusive of quality and quantity of output, safety, initiative, sense of responsibility etc.
As part of the Club’s campaign to encourage the “Pride of Workmanship” theme, it is inviting employers to give recognition where it is considered due by making nominations for this award.
For those who would like to nominate someone in the workforce for the
award please obtain a nomination form from the Club’s Vocational
Service Committee Chairman, Charles Dawborn, Ph. 5256 2344 or Richard Grimmett – richard@memories.net.au
Nominations close on Tuesday, April 18, 2006
