Donations in Kind (DIK) report from TAG

John Wynn & I visited 17 homes on monday to completely fill his truck and a large trailer with items for the DIK depot. This was a very good response from our membership and I would like to thank all those involved for providing us with the advertised, target items. The people at the DIK depot really appreciated this because it makes it easier for them to provide quality support where and when it is needed without the cost and distraction of dealing with rubbish and extraneous items.

Thanks especially to those who collected items from their neighbours. This is important because we will eventually run out of stuff ourselves. We have plans to expand upon this in the future. We will also be approaching all the local schools again for more books (Thanks again Jim) because we can never have too many books. In fact, any books you have, of any type at all, can be brought to meetings and given to me for storage because I can box them properly before we go. (I'm not complaining but this needed to be done.)

The exercise was a success, even more so than last time, and it is one way in which our club can make a very real contribution to International Service. I want to thank in particular John Wynn for again supplying his truck, his time and his petrol. To those who missed us this time, we'll be back. To those who forgot to even tell their wives ... pull your finger out and pitch in with the rest of us.
