Noel Ritson-Bennett joined us once again.
The resignation from Ingrid and Geoffrey Cummins was received with great regret. Traveling from Lara is really a big ask.
Notes and reminders.
- Red Cross. Peter Hawthorne. Remember collection can go on until Easter, so a return visit to those places where no one was at home can be made. Money should be given to Fred Andrews.
- Football Tipping. Alex Magee asked that those who have not yet paid to cough up their $50.00
- District Conference. Rod Greer reported that the speakers were good and the venue whilst being spread over some distances was suitable. The cyclamen pink T-shirts were well noticed and hopefully they have generated a lot of interest for next year. The social events were lots of fun. Participants are asked to fill in the questionnaire and return it to John Flett.
- Publicity – John Flett reminded us that the Community Showcase Picnic is on Sunday 15/4. Sixteen groups have registered. John needs 2-3 helpers.
- Market. James Ricchini needs drivers to take the trailer to put out the signs prior to the market and to repeat the procedure in reverse by picking them up after it finishes. The same procedure is needed minus the collection on Easter Monday. Please see James if you can help.
- Trevor McArdle reminded us that the Mega Swim is scheduled for August.
- Art Show. Sponsorships are coming in.
- Family of Rotary. Judy Greer reassured everyone that Marj. Golding is O.K. Thanks to all those who have expressed concern.

Guest Speaker(s). Jess Brown, President of the Ocean Grove Coast care Group assisted by Cate Bartham and Mitch Clarnette, members of the committee. The group was formed in 2010 and consists of a diverse membership of mostly young people with the common aim of people who care and want to make a difference. They are not a "friends of" group as their main concerns are Natural Resources Management and environmental education and teaching. To achieve this they perform ongoing groundwork, community engagement, education, and assist land managers to enhance the natural values of the Ocean Grove coast. They have support from Barwon Coast and are involved with community events, e.g. Festival of the sea, Nippers, Clean up Australia Day and Ocean Grove Community Showcase. The group sees working with children as an investment in the future.
Funding at present comes from Coast Care Victoria, Hopefully some to come from Sustainability Victoria. It was refreshing and encouraging to hear a presentation delivered with such enthusiasm by the future carers of our immediate environment.
