·      There will be no meeting on Tuesday 26th January due to Australia Day public holiday.

Fundraising: The Car Raffle tickets are selling well. 126 books were sold at the Caravan Parks.
. Please return all raffle books sold or not sold to Wal Kelly as soon as possible as there is a fair amount of reconciliation to be done. IF YOU HAVE LOST YOUR BOOK PLEASE SUPPLY A STATUARY DECLARATION!
Rod Birrell has developed a machine as a fund raising idea. He asked for volunteers to take it out and put it back each day for a week, and chain it to a site in the main street. Also it possibly should be walked up and down. (Is this machine some sort of a robotic dog? Do we need to feed and water it?)
Peter Hawthorne informed members that Red Cross calling would be on March 1st.
- "Ride the Bellarine" is being held on 3/2/16. Volunteers are needed to help.
Art Show: Please let A George know in writing if you have a nomination for some of the proceeds from the Art Show. The next meeting of the Art Show Committee is on the 9/2/16.
Guest Speakers: Club members and Richard Grimmett.
Richard spoke about the history of the Ocean Grove Cup. It began as a casual horse race on the beach and became a more formal affair in 1984. The race was held on the beach at the appropriate time on the appropriate day in conjunction with the street festival. The event became very popular much to the chagrin of the VRC. OG Rotary was the fist club to hold a license to run a country race meeting. Attendance at the race meeting was great fun and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
A celebration of the 21stst Anniversary of the inception of the formal cup meetings will be held at Newington Homestead in Barry's Lane, Wallington on Saturday, March 5th 2016 from 7.30pm -11.30pm. Tickets are $40.00 each. It is a black tie affair and attendees are requested to 'bring a plate' of cocktail style food. Hetty Kate and the Big Band will provide swing type music. There will be a Calcutta Auction as well as a Silent auction. The proceeds are to go to help Light of Day Parkinson's Research.
Please note it is essential that apologies be recorded by 12noon on Mondays.
Also the Club has to pay for members who have not apologized and not turned up!

Phone number is 0457 315 900. Thank You
