Stephen thanked and congratulated the Club for their endeavors especially in the area of youth.
He stressed the need for collaboration within the Club, the Geelong area and within the District. Ride the Bellarine and the Fight Against ICE in South Australia is excellent examples of this.
He advised us about the District Conference in 2017. This event with the slogan of 'Be Bold' will be held at the Barrabool Hills Centre, 4 Provence Boulevard, Highton on Friday and Saturday March 31st and April 1st 2017.
The conference dinner has the theme of 'Be Bond,'(a favorite James Bond character is expected) on Saturday 1st April at 6.30 for 7.00pm at South Barwon Civic Centre, Colac Road, Belmont.
Stephen encouraged all to attend. He told us that the half-day on Sunday would be changed to allow the opportunity for voluntary 'hands on' work for Geelong Mums, run by Barwon Health. The conference will be opened to the public who will have the opportunity to hear exciting and interesting speakers.
It was also suggested that members could consider offering B&B for the event.
Thank You. AG
