A Special Request From The President:

The District Conference is being held in Geelong on the first weekend in March. Sadly, registrations at this date are much lower than anticipated. To me this seems unjust given the work that has been done to create an event that should be remembered for years to come. The DG needs our help and I urge you all to make every effort to attend.
Last year's District Conference was excellent; every speaker was interesting and informative, the venue and organization were equally impressive, and the fellowship was truly outstanding. Looking at what has been organised for this year I can honestly say that I expect this conference to be even better. How many chances will you get to meet someone who has walked on the moon? How often do you get together with industry giants like Lindsay Fox? How many gatherings of this nature occur in your own backyard?
I know that the District Conference is an annual event which many of you have attended several times in the past. However, this one will be special and not just because we are celebrating our centennial. Please make every effort to attend even if you can only manage part of it. I am certain that you will enjoy it and I am equally certain that none of us will be around to celebrate the next 100 year conference.
