Bronwyn Pike, Minister for Health and MLA Lisa Neville visited the Rotary Shopfront and Marketplace Shopping Centre this week to have a good look at our PAD project. The minister was clearly impressed with the efforts of the club and spoke of the importance of this type of community effort for such a critical need.

A good number of Rotarians, partners and friends were present to speak to the Minister and Lisa Neville over a cup of tea. Wal Kelly gave a demonstration and the group moved to the shopping centre to inspect the unit which is in place there.

This visit promises to be a boost for an already successful program and the shop proved to be a great venue for the club to host the visit.
On Wednesday next week (August 9th, 10.30am) World Champion Triathlete Emma Carney will be present to hand over a defibrillator from HBA.
