Report:
The members were delighted to welcome back Gary Golding (until he won the footy competition). Gary still has a long way to go but with his positive attitude we are also confident for him.
Visitors (carrying a bottle of red) always welcome.

Peter Cullen reported that Alison George had come through her operation very well. More news in coming weeks
Annual fees of $185 are now due. See Fred before he sees you!

The DG changeover luncheon was well attended particularly by our members and partners.
Well controlled by Trevor McArdle and everyone returned home before dark! (Just!)
The highlight was, obviously, the excellent and humorous speech given by our own DG. A great start to Helen's and our challenging year.

Bookings for the events on Saturday at our conference will be requested soon. Either the Blues Train or the Ferry. Expected cost $90.

Our sergeant conducted a Quiz instead of a fine session. Modesty prevents me listing the names of Rotarians at the winning table.

Our speaker was Michelle Mitten, Editor of 'The Voice'.
She and Alan Barber have now been running the paper for 4 years and print and distribute 10,000 copies per fortnight.
Michelle gave us an entertaining review of how the paper has developed and her role in each publication.

"I had a rose names after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: 'No good in a bed but fine against a wall'." Eleanor Roosevelt.
