This is a partners meeting with members from Queenscliff attending.

Speaker: Ann Hills, Nutritionist and Author.  Food Myths and Misconceptions.
Chairman: Coral Barker.

Report of the Meeting: 2/9/2012.
·      Mega Swim. Rotary Engines won the event overall. This victory was the result of the number of laps swum and the amount of money raised. $28,000 + was raised. Ocean Grove Rotary Club raised $8,440. Over the last three years that the event has been held $70,000 has been raised for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Trevor thanked all those who helped.
·      Trevor then announced his resignation he will join the FROGs Group so we will see him around. The members present expressed their regret and appreciation for his many years of sterling service.
·      Pres. John Paton hopes to form a Past Presidents Committee. This group, which would consist of 3 or 4 past presidents, would help with the selection of the President elect and gently guide the current president if necessary.
·      Footy Tipping.
- Geoff Chandler won.
- Bill Walton and Geoff Brentnall came equal second, but Bill had better margins.
-       Jill Grigg won the Wooden Spoon. 
Continue tipping through the finals.   
·      The last Winter Market next Sunday is well booked.
·      Peter Cullen reported that the last manning of the gates at the football finals would be this Saturday. Most Volunteer positions are filled.
·      The Raffle books for the Art Show are ready for distribution. Members are encouraged to take and sell at least one book.

Guest Speaker:  Michael Harbour. The Ocean Grove Community Association
        This Group provides a forum to exchange information and ideas, a means to participate in activities, to advocate and co-operate with other community groups.
Some of the areas the group has been involved with include:
-Transport and traffic management.
- Barwon heads bridge.
- Environment issues.
- A forum to meet electoral candidates.
- The Shell Road development.
- Duplication of Grubb Road.
- Road realignment in various streets.
- Traffic Signals.
- Extensions to the Aquatic Centre.
- Town Maintenance.
- Public Transport co-ordination.
- Bellarine Supported Living for young people with disabilities.
- Permanent Accommodation.
- Performance and Arts space.
This committee certainly keeps busy and works for the betterment of our neighbourhood.
Members who were in the various service groups to discuss the plans and budget needs for this year used the remainder of the meeting. There were some productive outcomes and hopefully most of the goals set by the leaders of the groups will be met.
