Main Event: This truly was a main event!
We assembled as requested and were taken on a cross-country drive to some bush land on the Steains Estate. Awaiting us there was a glass of bubbly and Santa, so the evening commenced well. We were directed towards the dancing ring and the Corroboree commenced. We were welcomed to country by Corrina and wonderfully entertained by the playing of the Didgeridoo by four young boys, "The Deadly Dancers", showed us some representations of various animals that were hunted when the Wirrunjeri Tribe occupied the land.
We then assembled in the newly constructed and very user-friendly eating area and were provided with four delicious courses of food. Peter McDonald entertained us with yarns and jokes from the bush. All-in -All it was a terrific night, thoroughly enjoyed by all. Many thanks are extended to Nan and John Calnin for their organization and to Joan and Bill Steains for the use of the venue.
Please note it is essential that apologies be recorded by 12noon on Mondays. Also the Club has to pay for members who have apologized and not turned up!
Phone number is: 0457 315 900 Thank You.
A Reminder… I would be very grateful if a hard copy of reports could be given to me at the meeting…. It would make my task easier!
