Guest Speaker: Andrew Wright.
Andrew spoke about the Achuar people who live in a remote area in Southern Ecuadorian Amazon. The project Andrew told members about is the supply of sporting uniforms and shoes for the Soccer team of Sharamentsa. He illustrated his talk with a Power Point presentation of his experiences in the area and village with the people.
Vic has kindly made the presentation available to all members in a PDF form as well as an accompanying You Tube item. Both are interesting and well worth a look.
Apologies if I have omitted or misinterpreted information of importance but somehow I have 'disappeared' the notes Ann Hodgkinson gave me. Hopefully I can catch up next week.
** There may be a "Position Vacant' for several weeks shortly. Please think about it. **
Please note it is essential that apologies be recorded by 12noon on Mondays.
Also the Club has to pay for members who have not apologized and not turned up!
Phone number is 0457 315 900. Thank You.
A Reminder… I would be very grateful if a hard copy of reports could be given to me at the meeting… My task would be made easier!
