Report: Meeting 9/6/2015.
Guest Speaker: Rod Greer. Future Directions.
The Club has been considering its future directions over the last 12 months or so. The Board had met in September 2014 to review the Club's functioning. From that meeting the members were asked their views on a range of issues on January2015 followed by another board meeting which brought the two sets of opinions together. The findings of that process were presented at this meeting.

Things that have been done included:
- A review of  'Membership introduction and induction'.
- A new 'Welcome to Rotary' document with details of all the tasks that members are asked to do from time to time).
- A revised 'Mentoring' document.
Each of these have now been placed on the website for all members to access.
Also highlighted in the presentation was the need to improve our communication by having a 'live' calendar on line to help planning, as well as a 'live' version of the Club Directory also on line and the need for each member to keep this up to date.
The review process showed that we were agreed that 'lowering the average age' was not necessarily a target, but rather the quality of potential Rotarians was more important.
It was generally agreed that we need a major project that would allow more involvement of more members. Two such options were: a house for holidays, short or long stay for people experiencing difficulties, and a trail from Ocean Grove to Pt. Lonsdale behind the dunes. Existing activities were generally not discussed or seen to need major change.
Social events were seen as critical and the 'glue of the Club'. We have had a good year in this regard.
Flexibility in meeting format, location and frequency were also worth considering.
We also completed a survey of the FROG's with a view to seeing how we might be able to incorporate them better into Rotary and as potential members.
Thanks to all members for their input to this process over the time. Rod Greer.

Thanks to John Fox and Rod Greer for doing the notes.

Please note it is essential that apologies be recorded by 12noon on Mondays. Also the Club has to pay for members who have not apologized and not turned up!
Phone number is 0457 315 900. Thank You

A Reminder… I would be very grateful if a hard copy of reports could be given to me…my task would be made easier!
