Report of the Meeting 8/9/2015
DG Jane Cox met with the Board and many topics were discussed, especially membership. Jane reported that Rotary International has realized the need to attract younger members as the numbers worldwide are declining except in the Sub- Continent. Jane also emphasized the need to retain current members. She congratulated the Club on our projects and the amount of activity being undertaken. She also encouraged us to work with other clubs in the area and to continue with Youth Exchange and Foundation.
Jane emphasized 'Service above Self' and striving to be 'A Gift to the World' in our actions through our work in the community. Some of the other projects in that other clubs were involved with in the district were mentioned, e.g. Korean Refugees, Victoria Police, Indigenous people.
