Report of Meeting: 20/10/2015
President: Nominations are needed for a Secretary and Director of Foundation.
- RC Belmont is conducting a business tradesman-mentoring program.

- RC Corio is having Les Twentyman speak at their meeting on 19/11/2015.
Secretary Report:
- Please register interest in attending the 2016 District Conference being held in Geelong with Tony Haines.
- Bellarine "Relay for Life" to be held on 7th & 8th November Club members need to consider whether we want to field a team. Tony Haines has more information or phone Heather Grant 0400 402 561. The event will be held at the Collandina Oval.
Administration: Judy Greer attended the PETs workshop at Halls Gap last weekend.
Foundation: There is a Seminar in Ararat on 15/11/2015. Four members are going to attend the seminar.
The $2.00 per week moneyboxes is still available. Funds are used as Centurian Donations.
Market: Heather Grant was presented with a cheque for $841.00 to be given to "Relay for Life." We must have a volunteer to run the Market for the next two years or the event will collapse and the loss of the funds gained there would be tragic.
Social: There will be a luncheon at the 'Flying Brick' on 27/11/2015. Please let Jenny Schmidt know if attending.
Community: The Uniting Church is checking out the gardens that need doing.
The Seniors Christmas Party will be on 8/12/15,
- Pride of Workmanship Awards nominations are due, PLEASE.
- The Car Raffle is underway.
- "Ride the Bellarine" is being held on 3/4/16. Volunteers are needed to help.
- There will be a DIK Collection of furniture soon. John Wynn will organize this.
Art Show: There has been wide publicity promoting the Show. The Club members are asked to support the show by attending the Opening night. Remember it is a replacement meeting for Melbourne Cup night. PLEASE return Raffle books, as they will be needed for selling at the Art Show. A couple of volunteers are needed for taking down on Sunday afternoon.
There will be a lucky door prize so please take the flyers you were given to the opening as the number is on the back.
Guest Speakers: Representatives of Children who participated in the Graeme Bath Junior Citizenship Awards.
This award gives students an opportunity to experience many new ideas and learn new skills whilst at school in year 6.
27 Students from three Primary schools in Ocean Grove participated. Each school was represented by four students who told members of the areas they gained experience
Ocean Grove Primary School: Innes Ford, Harry Elkins, Kruse Goedermold and Lilah Johnston.
Surfside Primary School: Emily Punton, Riley Findlay, Hanna Thompson and Grace Rokesby.
Star of the Sea Primary School: Georgia Lane, Matilda Simpson, Annabelle Soppitt and Kielyn McCaffrey.
Experiences included: Various Religions, Riding for the Disabled, First Aide, Cooking, Anzac Day ceremonies, Cultural exchange students, Dancing, Child Care, Various sports, Music, Library work, Sewing, Toy Library, Poster design, Shadow puppets, Art Classes, Community meetings and Aged care.
Students appear to have enjoyed their experience and learnt a great deal. Presentations were well done.
