Foundation through the various avenues available. See Gordon if interested.
International: There will be a Chinese cultural night on 23/2/15. Please see Email from Tony Haines. Members are asked to wear something RED. Come prepared to celebrate with some surprises. There will be lots of food and symbolism.
It is Chinese New Year! 2016 is the "Year of the monkey".

Social: The next social event will be combined with the Chinese New Year night on 23/2/2016. ****Please remember to apologise for yourself or your partner if you are not attending***
Community: The Breakfast at the Primary School last Friday morning was most successful. Costa from Gardening Australia stressed how support from organizations such as Rotary was most important. Sixteen members attended.
Water feature position at the Uniting Church will be installed soon.
DIK Collection will be soon. Please let John Wynn know if you have goods for collection. Bicycle reconstruction is continuing.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the Disabled Surfers on 21/2/2016.
The Battery recycling program has been very successful. 2.5 tonnes have been collected so far. The program will be widened throughout some of the Geelong Clubs.
Fundraising: Peter Hawthorne informed members that Red Cross calling would be on March 1st. It is suggested that calling commences at 5.30 pm and return to the Bowling Club around 7.15pm for light refreshments.
Youth: Two students for the RYPEN weekend have shown interest.
The Club will continue to support an outgoing student for Youth Exchange, however thought should be given to hosting an incoming student. It is proposed that "outside" host families would be considered, but a very diligent club member would be required as a councilor for the arrangement. The role would require a fair amount of time to make this work effectively.
Art Show: The committee decided that the dispersal of the remaining profit of $3000 from the Art Show should be dispersed as follows:
- The Education Assistance Program run by United Care Geelong. $2000.
-  Point Lonsdale Primary School Library. $250.
-  Neighborhood Center as a prize for their Art Show. $250.
-  Make a Wish Foundation. $500.
The Committee thanks those members who submitted suggestions.
Footy Tipping: This very important competition is on again soon. See Alex if interested with your $50.
