VOL 30 NO 1

June  28  2011
Changeover Dinner at Club Grove, Tuesday, 28th June 2011.
President Noel Emselle welcomed all those present at a well attended meeting. There were upwards of ninety Rotarians and guests present.
P.P.John Wynne proposed an excellent toast to Rotary International. P.D.G. Henry Hudson responded with his usual mixture of wit and serious aplomb.
To their great pleasure and surprise Alison George and Rod Greer were presented with Paul Harris Fellowships.
A plaque was presented to the President of the Bowls Club, Ross McDonald, for display in a prominent place.
President Noel reported on the events of the year and thanked the many members who have assisted with various tasks which keep the club running and raising the money we have so much pleasure distributing throughout the community and other charities. It is worthwhile reading the Annual Report to refresh the memory about the busy the Club has had.
The opening of the Heritage Park by Jan Farrell was well attended. It is worth  spending some time reading
the signs as they are full of usefull information. More work is planned in the park in the future.
The Club was awarded with a Presidential Citation with Distinction. A reflection of the many avenues of service the members contribute to and the effort they put into fulfilling the goals of the Club.
P.D.G. Henry Hudson inducted Margaret Campbell into the office of President.

-the Art Show in October

Just a few words from the church bulletins…..
-Ladies don't forget the rummage sale. It is a chance to get rid of those things around the house not worth keeping, especially if you haven't used them for two years. Bring your husbands.
-For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs.
