David Cook, Margaret Cambell, Betty Boyd

Guest Speaker:  David 'Crocket' Cook.
David suffers from the degenerative condition of MND.  He explained to us that the disease has no know cause or cure.  David is well known in the local area and has a long and proud history of sporting involvement and excellence.  So, to be inflicted with this degenerative condition is particularly difficult.  Even more so, especially since one's life expectancy is severely shortened.
'Crocket' explained the symptoms, their development and his experiences with the condition.   However, despite the challenges he and those around him face, he had a very positive attitude to his life and the role he can play in encouraging research and awareness.  His plea to us all was to support their awareness and fundraiser:
"Walk to D Feet MND" to be held on the Ocean Grove Foreshore, 10.00am, October 29th
Geoff Chandler, in his vote of thanks, said it all.  David, you are a 'Special Person'.
Please put this date in your diaries and support the event.
A Little to ponder:

No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery
A hole has been found in the nudist camp wall.  The police are looking into it.
Time flies like an arrow.  Fruit flies like a banana.

There was a person who sent ten puns to friends, with the hope that at least one of the puns would make them laugh. No pun in ten did.
