Most recently, Peter been the CEO of the Melbourne Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market before retiring.  His wife Janet has been a teacher and still does some part time work when it doesn't interfere with golf.
Peter will join the Youth and New Generations C'tee with Ann H.
Welcome Peter and Janet!
Visitors:  PP Guy and Karen Kemp both from the Mudgee Sunrise Rotary Club (Guy was President of Ocean Grove in 2004/5), partners Janet McLennan, Jan Fox and Jan Brentnall.
Guy and Karen would be happy to host any traveling Rotarians.  Their email is kemp@harboursat.com.au
Weekly raffle:  Foxy will be the 'Stockman' (you can imagine him in his 'driasabone' and stock whip!). The advertising and sorting on the night will be another rostered job.
Bring your own flair and style to task.
Family of Rotary:  Alison has been moved to Grace McKellar Centre for rehab and is looking for books on any topic including the impact of gravity!
Annette Cullen has come home and visitors are welcome from Wednesday (20th July).  Please ring first.
The Club expresses its sympathy to Rod and Corale Birrell on the passing of Rod's mother.
The Market:  We have a major sponsor in The Voice.  Allan Barber has been a great supporter of the club and we are most grateful to him and the Voice for their support of both the winter and summer markets.
August 7th is the next market.  John Paton is the one to tell if you can't do a job.
Secretary:  membership books and annual reports are still available.  See Vic.
New Generations: Tom Attard had a successful interview in Ararat last Sunday and has been accepted to the National Youth Science Forum in Canberra to be held in January.  Congratulations to Tom and to Judy and Ann for all the effort involved in making it possible.
Art Show:  There is significant interest being demonstrated in exhibiting at the show.  It was unfortunate that we were not able to have all the sponsors at our meeting to express our appreciation for their support.  Hopefully, this will occur in the near future.
Lookout Reserve:  A Roster for maintenance was distributed and there was plenty of support. Noel could still do with more volunteers.
Partners of Rotary:  Colour and Scarf Workshop.  Jan Flett's, Monday July 25th @ 2pm
30 Penleigh Crescent, Ocean Grove.  Ring Jan, 5256 2087.
Guest Speaker:  Cate Barham from Bellarine Landcare.  Cate outlined the aims and objectives of Bellarine Landcare.  She gave an account of the issues and actions taken locally to deal with revegetation, weeds and vermin on the Bellarine. It was a very positive account and showed how we might as individuals and as a club contribute to the biodiversity of the Peninsula.  Cate had an excellent understanding of the issues surrounding biodiversity and ably answered questions.
There is to be a National Tree Planting Day on July 31st.  Brochures were distributed and details are on the website.
In conversation with Cate after the meeting she is keen to organize a planting day with Rotary.  How about it?
Membership Fees are now due.  $185.  Colin would love to see you!
Special General Meeting August 2nd. New Rules and Bylaws to be adopted.

Conference booking.  Get on board…. They are good fun, interesting and you can help make the club's history. (We could do with a few more relics!).  An email has been sent asking for opinions (in a guided way) as to where we should stay.  Rod Greer needs your $50 deposit to secure a room for the 23/24 March.
